LONDON BASED BUSINESS MAN OLUGBENGA ALOTO DECLARES CANDIDACY FOR LAGOS STATE GOVERNOR

Business man, and CEO of Shabba Estates and Shabba Records Ltd. Mr Olugbenga Aloto has declared his candidacy for the Office of Governor of Lagos State, Nigeria.

"I am proud to have the opportunity to serve my people in a role such as Governor of Lagos State," says Gbenga Aloto. "I believe in the great potentials and capacity of Lagos State to be the greatest city in Africa, and an envy of the world. I believe the competitiveness of any economic base is inextricably linked to the quality and quantity of the infrastructure available to it."

"We live in a new challenging world, so we can't keep doing the same things over again, and expecting a different result. The time for change is Now, Everything is Possible." He said.

Mr Olugbenga Aloto holds a Law degree from the London Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. Gbenga's work experience includes 12 years working in the property market, where he made his little fortune and 10 years as a private businessman in the entertainment industry. He currently is the Chairman and CEO of Shabba Estates & Shabba Records.

The candidate stated that he will reduce the high rate of unemployment, and ensure long term economic stability. Gbenga wants voters to know he is the strong, energetic leader needed, to make these radical economic changes in Lagos State.

"I have always been very concerned about the welfare of my people, and I believe there are workable solutions to improving the quality and standard of living. The reforms I want to implement are substantial however, they will be put in place in a gradual, methodical manner," Gbenga explains. "First of all, I plan on proposing new policies that will invest more tax Nairas in our public schools, not only to meet the needs of today, but to encourage developing minds for the future. Such new funding would be used to hire and retain good teachers, build and renovate new schools, and give great tax breaks to classroom teachers. To accomplish this, I am proposing no new taxes increases, but rather a rechanneling of our existing tax revenue to meet these demands.

Gbenga Aloto has listed his personal contact email olugbengaaloto@yahoo.co.uk for any voter in Lagos to contact him. He would like to hear from voters and welcomes any questions, comments, or ideas. He also urged voters and supporters to use the resources available on his website www.gbengaaloto.com to organize rallies, plan strategies, and also raise campaign funds.
