Lynxxx, Omawumi, Tiwa Savage, Flavor, MI, Naeto C to be confirmed as new Glo ambassadors
So here's the scoop. Lynxxx, Omawumi, Tiwa Savage, Flavour, MI, Bez, Naeto C, Chidynma (The Voice), and Lagbaja will soon be announced as the new ambassadors for telecoms giant, Globacom. The music stars or their reps met with the management of Glo at the conference room of Eko Hotel from Monday to Friday last week.
According to the inside gist I gathered, Glo is planning to cut down on the number of old Nollywood stars who are currently their ambassadors (I know some of the ones that will be dropped but let me not announce it here because they are yet to informed), and replace them with young, vibrant music stars. I hear the next phase will be comedians.
The new ambassadors have been interviewed, they have also negotiated the cost of engagement for a period of two years (They each will be getting between N10m/N20m annually). They have also agreed to terms and conditions for the engagement.

Man Arrested With Charm In Church
He was arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate court on one count charge of illegally entering a church with charms.
The police alleged that the accused was arrested following a complaint by members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, Victoria Island, Lagos, that they found theaccused inside their church on 31 March, 2013 with charms. During interrogation, he allegedly told the police that he entered the church to pray to God.
But when asked what he was doing with the charms he strapped to his waist, he could not give satisfactory answer nor explain how long he has been worshiping in the church since he claimed he was a Muslim.
The church members suspected him to have entered the church to perpetrate evil.
After investigation by Corporal Sekinat Akinbola, he was charged to court.
The offence is contrary to and punishable undersection 133(b) of the criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011. The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge, and Magistrate Mrs. Ope Agbe admitted him on bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety with proof of tax payment to the Lagos State government.
She adjourned the matter till 29 April, 2013 for mention. The defendant was, however, moved to Ikoyi prison pending when he would fulfil the bail conditions.

[EVENTS]: UNDISCOVERED MONTHLY PARTY LIVE IN LAGOS
This monthly event is a showcase for upcoming and unknown talented, musicians, spoken word artistes and comedians in Port-Harcourt and its environs who will otherwise not have had the opportunity to be seen or heard. The objective is to give them an easily accessible platform to display and hone their craft supported by fairly or well established acts in the industry.
The artistes/performers will be screened and handpicked for each show by the Kreek Entertainment team and at the end of each night, the crowd will judge who they think put up the best performance.
All the performers get to show their skills before industry stakeholders, label execs, talent scouts, and the winner will be awarded full media coverage (radio play, interviews, and music videos shown on TV) from Silverbird Communications as well as full online publicity from www.hitplayonline.net and www.tooxclusive.com as an incentive. Each event would be hosted by a Rhythm 93.7fm PH On Air Personality and covered fully by Silverbird Television.
The Maiden Edition would take place on the 15th of June at the Showtime lounge and would have Youngstunna as the Headlining act.

TIME: Doors open 6pm, show starts 7pm. Limited seating available.
